ကဆုန်ညောင်ရေသွန်းပွဲ

Full Moon Festival celebration of "Birth of Buddha, his enlightenment and Parinirvana ". Ceremonial watering of the Bodhi Tree was performed at this date. Traditionally a row of young ladies carry the water in earthen pod on their head to water the Bodhi tree. Now a day, young or old alike, many participate the festival by visiting monasteries and pagodas where Bodhi tree might located.
